Mirogoj magic lights

Mirogoj cemetery in Zagreb in those days abounds with masses and prayers for all those who are no longer with us, and a sight of colorful flower arrangements and thousands lighted candles leaves everyone without a word.

Croatia, a country rich in natural beauty, beautiful destinations and traditional customs, is country where Catholics are the majority of the population. With more than 86 percent of the faithful of the Catholic Church, a tradition in the nurturing and celebration of holidays and festivities is especially pronounced. One of the most beautiful customs takes place in the celebration of All Saints Day, November 1, and Day of the Dead, November 2nd – customs visiting cemeteries and graves of close deceased. Masses and prayers for all those who are no longer with us, and the sight of colorful flower arrangements and thousands lighted candles, by which the faithful recall of the dead leaves everyone without a word. And to help us prove that to you, as well as the fact that image actually sometimes says more than a thousand words, we recorded a magical illuminated Mirogoj cemetery in Zagreb, wrapped in special tranquility and serenity.
