I am not sure if you know, but when you fly away too much when you receive an insane euphoria for new projects, it is not uncommon to look for food that grow deep in the ground. My earthen food are mushrooms. Mushrooms, truffles, scented with thyme and a rice. That’s what I need. As a panther searching for a prey, somehow I always end up in Boban.

Probably because I bind that place with some good feelings and happy times spent with my family. And something that I would like to attribute to the pleasant ambience of this restaurant, is a very friendly staff and the feeling that they know you. It’s priceless.

The thought of “I do not feel like cooking today” brings you an idea of ​​the restaurants, and they somehow perceive as a place for special occasions, not as a substitute for home cooking. I am here quite demanding, but the only reason is my vegetarianism. Offer in restaurants in Zagreb is not always what is expected, and above all I expect imagination and variety.

At Boban’s, it is not a problem for the chef. He is always ready to improvise. Mushrooms, vegetables, truffles, just ask. A glass of a good wine, maybe Traminac and stomach is full.

So last night we ended up in Il’secondo. The younger brother of a large Boban. Somehow, Boban has always been our first choice due to its ambience and the city center. But today we were lazy and close to home. Waiter welcomes you with a warm smile, ready for my wishes because I’m one of those who will unceremoniously return the food, or ask for a wholemeal pasta. And this time I got exactly what I needed.
